Hiran Valiyakkil Lal is the founder and Managing Director of Hardoll Enterprises LLP, a Kerala-based solar lighting manufacturer he has run since 2016. Before founding Hardoll, Hiran worked as an aircraft engineer with Qatar Airways — a background in precision engineering and reliability that shapes how Hardoll designs and tests its products today.

Hiran led Hardoll’s switch to LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) battery technology across the entire product range, based on field-performance data gathered in Indian conditions — 45°C+ summers, 90%+ monsoon humidity, and daily charge-discharge cycles. Under his leadership, Hardoll lighting has been deployed at institutional and commercial sites including Tata Steel, Federal Bank, L&T facilities, BPCL campuses, Club Mahindra resorts and Wonderla parks.
